Charsoo Culture and Art Institute was founded in 1996 to open a window to the world of contemporary art. The institute was organized and led by lecturers and researchers of Tehran's leading universities. Focusing on education according to contemporary needs, welcoming creative ideas of artists, and providing appropriate conditions for artistic creativity were determined as the main policies of the institute after comprehensive contemplation on and study of formal education systems and feeling the need to new educational fields and different instructional approaches.
Charsoo provides a serious cosy independent atmosphere for those who are interested in and searching for modern art in contemporary and novel experiences. In cooperation with artists of various art media, the institute has been able to become an influential center in binging up artists and transferring ideas.
Charsoo Culture and Art Institute, with its active role in creativity, instruction, research, and publication, presents a diverse collection of programs in different formats such as classes, workshops, art assemblies, theoretical and practical courses, publication, holding exhibition, sponsorship of journals, holding exhibition and providing residence for artists, movie production, film club, music club, and Radio review.
Research Section Department of Charsoo Institute of Art and Culture was formed as an acknowledgment of the importance of scientific and artistic research in fields of education and publication, and in addition to fulfilling Research Needs of the institute, is ready to accept projects from scientific, cultural and art institutions and organizations.
Charsoo Publication has been active in providing educational books and works of writers and scholars since 2005, and now aims to cover theoretical and scholar aspects of visual arts in addition to educational books.
